Elementary:


Science: Parts of the Face


  • Description: In this science activity, K-2 students will label the parts of the face. It has nine moving parts and students will get one point for each correct placement or answer. This would be great to use with the interactivity 'Parts of the Body,' also found in the digital activities.
  • Recommended Grade Range: Designed for K-2 but could be used in any Elementary grade.

ELA: Authors Purpose

  • Description: Students will read four texts about penguins then answer questions for each one. Text genres will range from informative to fiction. 

  • Grade: Elementary Grades 3-5

ELA: Language and Conventions

  • Description: Students will answer multiple choice, multiselect, and hot spot questions based on language standards. Questions will include verb tense, synonyms/antonyms, figurative language, correct punctuation, and more!

  • Grade: Elementary Grades 3-5

ELA: Daily Language Review

  • Description: Students will be asked to choose the correct sentence, part of speech, figurative language and so much more! The great part about these is that they are auto-graded, so you can easily see your students' scores! Assign this in the beginning of the week, and students can complete one every day.

Math: Using Fractions - STAAR with Tech Updates 


  • Description: This worksheets consists of released Grade 3 test questions that have been adapted to include new question types on the redesigned 2023 STAAR test. The questions assess TEKS standard 3.3(A) which reads "represent fractions greater than zero and less than or  equal to one with denominators of 2, 3, 4, 6, and 8 using concrete objects and pictorial models, including strip diagrams and number lines."
  • Recommended Grade Range: Each worksheet in the collection is targeted to one TEKS (Texas Essential Knowledge and Skills) standard. It is intended for grade 3 but could be used with grades 2-5.

ELA: Informational - HARP and Its Angel


  • Description: This is a fiction practice activity for the newly redesigned STAAR test of Reading and Language Arts (RLA) that incorporates new question types. It is an informational text type. 
  • Recommended Grade Range: Intended for grade 6, but can be used with grades 5-8.

Math: Distributive Property and Like Terms with Variables Level 3


  • Description: This activity is a formative assessment designed to measure the Common Core Math standard 6.EE.A.3 & 7.NS.A.1 & 7.NS.A.2 - Simplifying Expressions by Using the Distributive Property and Combining Like Terms.
  • Recommended Grade Range: The difficulty of the activity is Level 3 (mastering the skill) and it features 16 short answer items in which students must write the correct expression in simplest terms formed by using the distributive property and combining like terms in the given algebraic expression.

ELA: English I - Revising - An Inspirational Athlete!


  • Description: This is a practice activity for the newly redesigned STAAR test for English I that incorporates new question types. Students will read the passage then choose the correct answer to revise the text.
  • Recommended Grade Range: Intended for high school course English I, but can be used with any high school reading level.

Math: Solving Absolute Value Equations Level 2b


  • Description: This activity is a formative assessment designed to measure the Common Core Math standard 7.NS.A.3 & HSA-REI.A.2 - Solving Absolute Value Equations. The difficulty of the activity is Level 2 (developing the skill) and it features 14 short answer items in which the students must write the correct solution to a given algebraic equation that includes absolute value bars with one variable using any operation. 
  • Recommended Grade Range: This activity has been designed for grade 7, but can be used with students in grades 7-10.
