What is the difference between reopening an assignment and resetting one?

Reopening an assignment allows your students to work on the assignment again and keeps all of their previous work on the assignment. It is the same as returning an ungraded piece of paper to students in your classroom.

Resetting an assignment will remove all of their previous work, their grades and your comments. This is similar to handing them a blank, new sheet in class.
