November 22nd, 2024 - A New New Popup

You'll notice there's a new, friendlier layout for the "New Activity" popup! It looks like this:

You can still do the same things you could always do with TeacherMade, but it's more colorful, easier to understand and calls you by your name!

Click "UPLOAD" to upload a file you want to make interactive.

Click "USE AI" to generate content using TeacherMade's AI-driven Content Assistant.

Click "CREATE" to create content from scratch by adding text, graphics and questions yourself.

UPLOAD a file

Click this button when you have an existing PDF, DOCx, Google Slides, or Google Docs file that you're going to make interactive. You'll choose how you're going to upload the file to TeacherMade:

Choose this option if the file exists on your computer. Here's another way to upload a file from your local hard drive. If you're uploading a Google DOC, Slides file, or even a PDF stored on Google Drive, this is your option!

USE AI to make content

Click this button and TeacherMade will create a new file for you and immediately launch the intelligent Content Assistant for you. You can ask it to generate passages and questions, or paste in materials you generated in ChatGPT and instantly make it interactive.

CREATE on a blank canvas

Click this button when you're making original content. You'll go into the Activity Editor (aka "The Studio") immediately. There, you'll be able to add text, images, audio, video and (most importantly) auto-scored questions.

Once you're in the Studio, you can also use the Content Assistant to generate passages and questions for your Activity or paste in content you generated in ChatGPT or elsewhere.

GO TO FILES

Click that button to close this popup and return to the list of your TeacherMade files. This is the first place we'll start calling your activities your "files" and we'll eventually always refer to them as "files." Everyone found "Activities" confusing, and we're here to make your life easier, not more confusing.

Where is the Scrolling option?

The slide view is much more flexible and easy to work with, but if you miss the "Scrolling" option for your activities, you can still create one that works that way. As you select the pages from your file, click the checkbox labelled "Combine selected pages into a single slide."

That will append all the pages into a single slide, which works exactly like scrolling activities always have. If you forget to select that option, you can later merge the individual slides into one looooooong scrolling slide using the "Merge All Slides Into One" feature in the editing Studio's "Slide" menu.

More to Come

We've got some more dramatic visual improvements to TeacherMade coming soon. Stand by!
