"Read Aloud" is an assignment option that you can turn on for any assignment, and it allows students to select text from the screen and have it read to them. 

It's pretty magical, and even works with backgrounds that began life as images, not just PDFs. Students can even choose their favorite voice, and set what speed the reading takes place.
