January 24th, 2023 - Three New Item Types!

Wow! Fresh on the heels of the monumental release of the Slide View, TeacherMade has added THREE new item types for you! If you're in Texas and worried about the new types on the redesigned STAAR, or in any state where Technology Enhanced Item Types (TEIs) are a concern, we've got you covered! Wait til you see what these new items can do!

Hot Text

The Hot Text item presents your students with a text passage. Portions of the passage are highlighted, and your students select one or more correct answers from the highlighted choices. It's a natural for Reading Language Arts and Social Studies teachers, but it's useful for every subject. Bring those authentic texts. We'll make them interactive!

Inline Choice

Inline Choice lets your students choose which words or phrases belong in a text passage It's like a dropdown (or dropdowns!) in the middle of a paragraph. You can use this for spelling, noun-verb matching, correcting writing errors, and many other Reading Language Arts needs. But every teacher from Art to Zoology is going to love it!

The student chooses between several options (historicle, historical, historrical, and historacel) and receives points if they choose the correct one. The student's choice will appear in place, and the box is automatically sized to accommodate every possible answer.

Match Table Grid

Match Table Grid is like Multiple Choice on steroids. The student will see a table with rows and columns and will select a correct answer per row. You can use it for classification, literary analysis, even surveys! It's useful any time you have multiple questions (the rows) that have the same answer choices (the columns.

It's such a powerful question type. And, yes, you're right, tomato is technically a fruit.
