This feature is meant for student responses that require more complex math equations and formulas. 

When you input this feature, students are provided with a math LaTex equation editor that they use to answer the question.

To set up an Algebra/Formula question type, click down on your activity (or click and drag your mouse to draw a box) and the Tools menu will pop up.  Click, or Click and Drag

When the Tools menu pops up, select 'Algebra/Formula' from the middle column.

Adjust the answer box to the desired size. 

To add in your answers and change the point value click on ‘Edit’ on your toolbar: 

The ‘Edit Algebra/Formula’‘ screen will appear:

Here you can change: 

•  Number of Points: This shows how many points your students will receive for correctly answering the question. By default TeacherMade will always assign all question types 1 point. 

•  List of Correct expression(s): This allows you to list all the correct answers your student will write. 

Be sure to click on ‘Save Changes’ when done.
