How to Use ClassLink to Send Teacher Rosters to TeacherMade

TeacherMade is a Certified ClassLink Partner, which makes it incredibly easy to give TeacherMade to all your Teachers. Just follow these simple steps. You'll need to be an Admin on your district's ClassLink account. If you're not the Admin, just send them a link to this article.

  • Login to your ClassLink portal.
  • Go to the Roster Server.
  • Click "Apps."
  • Click the "+ Add" button inn upper right-hand corner of the apps list.
  • Type "TeacherMade" into the search bar.
  • Select the TeacherMade icon.
  • Select Rule Based Permissions (use Legacy Custom Permissions if you're an older ClassLink customer who has never upgraded to Rule Based Persmissions).
  • Select a rule that only gives TeacherMade visibility to Teachers.
  • TeacherMade does NOT need student or other staff members currently, and prefer you only send teachers in the roster.
  • If you need help with rules, please contact ClassLink.

Once you've saved the new app with the rule in place, you need to enable data sharing. ClassLink turns this off by default to help ensure data safety, but you'll need to turn it on to let your data flow to TeacherMade.

  • Important: Find TeacherMade in your apps.
  • Note that under the column titled "Enabled" you'll see the switch indicating that TeacherMade is disabled.
  • Click the switch to flip it to "Enabled."

Enabling data flow will send an email to the TeacherMade team. They will proceed to complete the set up of your roster connection in ClassLink and the TeacherMade app. The team will thoroughly review your setup and execute the first roster import for you. Emails will be sent to all new Teachers informing them of their access to the TeacherMade app. After that, the roster will be refreshed every night. New teachers will be added and older teachers removed as needed. It's all automated so you won't need to do a thing!

Now it's time to schedule your training! Just contact us at team@teachermade.com! Once you've had your initial import, you can add TeacherMade to your ClassLink LaunchPad. Click here to read the instructions!
